He got into entertainment when he was just nineteen years old by appearing on a TV show called MTV’s Road Rules: Maximum Velocity Tour in 2000. This happened while he was studying at Louisiana State University, and it kickstarted his journey to becoming famous.

Von’s parents are Gina Capitani and Roland Theodor Achilles von Kurnatowski. His mom, Gina, was raised by Gene Capitani and Clara M Capitani in Wyoming, Illinois. His dad, originally from Bluefields, Nicaragua, was quite a bit older than typical dads—69 years old when Von was born. Sadly, his dad passed away from cancer when Von was just 16.

Von grew up in Covington, Louisiana, with his older brother and two younger sisters. He became legally independent when he was just 14. His family background is a mix of Polish-Nicaraguan from his dad and Irish-Italian from his mom.

He finished high school at Mandeville High School in Mandeville, Louisiana. Then he went to several colleges, including Louisiana State University, Loyola University New Orleans, University of Arizona, College of Charleston, and Santa Monica College. He eventually got his bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of New Orleans in 2011.

Since September 2020, Von has been living in Nashville, Tennessee, after buying a house that used to belong to Derek Mason, a former coach at Vanderbilt University. He also has an apartment in Los Angeles, California.
